As owners of the Pontiac McDonald’s, we are proud of each and every employee that works for us.
In the past four years, the people that work here have achieved the Outstanding Store Award from McDonald’s Corporation for the region (10 percent of stores) in 2006; and were in the top 100 McDonald’s Restaurants in the country for quality, service, cleanliness and people development. The restaurant won a Central Divisional Contest in the spring, for their speed and accuracy of service. The managers were acknowledged by senior management of McDonald’s.
During the flood this past year many of our employees lost everything. But they were out in the community helping others and coming to work, where we feed volunteers for free for weeks.
Many of our employees are in Pontiac Township High School or graduated from there.
Eighty-five percent of our management staff is promoted out of our crew, and are very intent on learning every aspect of the McDonald’s business, as well as the people business.
Our regular customers know that many of the people working in the Pontiac McDonald’s have been there for some time.
We had people who have worked for us that now work for other businesses in town or are proud stay-at-home-moms. Also some have gone on to be lawyers, doctors, teachers and even McDonald’s store managers in other communities.
It has come to our attention that some very disparaging and derogatory remarks have been made against our fine employees by a public officer within this community.
These damaging remarks directed to our employees at the Pontiac McDonald’s are clearly untrue and very hurtful. It is important that we continue to uplift and inspire our young, impressionable swing and assistant managers, specifically as they look up to those who serve in the community.
And who knows, maybe one of them will be our next mayor one day.

The Republican Brand
It’s superfluous to talk about the ideological differences between Democrats and Republicans but I would like to speak to an alarming development in that difference.
It’s suddenly ok to have supporters at a rally call for the death of an opponent. It must be ok because the McCain machine has not denounced that remark heard at a Palin rally the other day. Nor has the RNC .They have not said one word about racism ..ok I accept that old white people tend towards racism as a demographic.. But murder?
The McCain campaign won’t denounce incitement to murder because they are afraid it’ll cost them votes. There can be no other explanation. Is this who we want running our country?
Who’s The Elitist?
After last night’s debate. McCain leaves.. Obama hangs out.

this shows that Obama is at the very least more polite than McCain and more importantly that Obama is able to connect with “Joe six pack” whilst McCain is not. There are people who will deny that racism is afoot in the campaign. It is and they are either willfully concealing it or blind.. Obama is not an “elitist” he is not a “terrorist”.. He is a man..A black man, an American man that is running for president. A man that is willing to put himself in harm’s way for his country. The myth of republicanism is old and busted. The “trickledown” theory of American economics just. doesn’t. work. Deny it if you want but nobody will agree. It’s time for a different outlook and whether you like Obama or not, he is the wind of change.
Get ready for the new republic.
